Burnished (Ground-face) Block
Burnished Block (ground face masonry units) are pre-finished block units made of concrete. These ground face concrete masonry units have one or more outer surfaces ground down to a rough texture, exposing the colors of the aggregates, and creating interesting textures. Split-faced block are concrete masonry units with rough outer sufaces on one or more sides. The rough exterior surface, or split-face, is created by controlled "splitting off" of the face of the block.
